Data Retention Policy

For the pilot build, uploaded project files and extracted text are stored locally on the computer or server running PermitAI.

• Active project files remain until the workspace owner deletes them or runs cleanup.
• Deleted documents are soft-deleted in the database and may remain in backups.
• Recommended pilot retention: documents 90 days, deleted projects 30 days, audit logs 365 days.
• Do not upload payment card numbers, tax IDs, or unrelated personal information.
• Run backups before updates and store backups in a protected location.
